Secret Santa

In mid-December, the SPCA was given a special Christmas gift when a long time supporter of the C larenville Area SPCA donated a significant amount to the organization.

The supporter wishes to remain annonymous but the executive and board members of the Clarenville Area SPCA would like to publically thank this person.

Your donation will continue to help the SPCA care for the abondoned, abused and stray animals. Thank you!

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED

Do You Like To Do Something Special With Your Time? Something That Makes You Feel Like You Are Making A Difference?

Why not become an SPCA Volunteer... If you could give just 1 night a week to help the animals, or if you can just give an evening every now and then.

We are still looking for volunteers to come into the shelter and look after the animals in the evening times. If you are interested, Please call the shelter at 466-3489 or fill out a volunteer form online (you will find the form in the home page menu, under forms).

Your help is desperatley needed. Without Volunteers, we cannot do all that we do to help the animals!

You must be 18 yrs old to become an evening volunteer.

LOOKING FOR DOG WALKERS

Do You Like To Walk?

Why not come to the SPCA and spend your free time with a new walking buddy! The Dogs at the shelter love it when people come and take them for a much needed walk. Not only will the exercise make you feel great, it will make you feel like you are doing something special with your time.

You must be over 16 yrs old, and the available times for dog walking are 9:30am- 4:30 pm, 7 days a week.

Hope to see you soon!

Coins For Critters

The SPCA is seeking stray coins….a newly announced initiative of the Clarenville Area SPCA is the Coins for Critters campaign. Its purpose is to help you find a permanent home for all of the stray nickels, dimes, pennies, loonies, and toonies currently hiding or lost in your couch, office, car, purse, and maybe even your washing machine!

The Lilly Fund is a SPCA fund used to assist in neutering/spaying and paying for other medical expenses of the shelter animals. Without this fund, many homeless animals would not get the second chance they deserve. The goal is to collect 1 million coins for this fund by December 31, 2009 so please gather all your stray coins together and please get your friends and family to do the same!

Your coins can be dropped off at the shelter rolled or unrolled or call the shelter to arrange a pick up. You might like to drop your coins into the water fountain located in the main lobby of the shelter. No donation is too small. Keep checking back for updates on the amount raised.

Please see the left hand side of page to keep updated on our progress with this fundraiser.

Cat of the Week

We named this beautiful female cat, Africa. We think she is about 1year old, and is a very sweet kitty! She has been spayed since she has come to the shelter so she is ready for her new "furever" home. She will make a great new addition to any loving family!

Dog of the Week

Jack is a sweet, 5 month old male pup. He is in a foster home and his foster Mom reports he is housetrained and listens well. He is living with children and other animals as well. If you are intersted in this sweet boy, please call the shelter and viewing can be arranged.

Small Critter of the Week

Available for Adoption through Bird & Small Animal Rescue.

Hi, Josie is my name and I'm a pretty 3 year old spayed female Albino Dwarf Bunny. I came to the rescue in Sept.2008. That's a long time for a sweet bunny like me. I'm a very quiet and undemanding bunny who is just happy to have a safe place to stay until my furever family can be found. I have never shown any aggression towards my caregivers and I love to be petted. I'm also very clean in my cage! I'm a friendly little girl and I need a loving new family to take me in. I will be here waiting until I find a great family to adopt me and love me for the good bunny girl I am! I promise you that you will not be disappointed in adding me to your family!
