Can You Help??

It's "Kitten Season" and right now the shelter has 3 mommy cats-1 with a litter of 4 just born yesterday, 1 with a litter of 5 born on the 11th and 1 with a litter approximately 2 weeks old. The shelter is not a great place for these babies being so young and vulnerable. We are URGENTLY seeking foster homes that can take the little families until the kitten are approx 6 weeks old and almost ready for adoption. All necessary supplies are provided and you supply the TLC!!!! Contact the shelter if you can help :)

Rudy has gone missing from his home!!

Rudy has gone missing from his home in the Harcourt area!! He is a timid cat that will probably will not come to you if you try to approach him. We want to try and get Rudy back to his forever home! If you have seen him, or notice him in the future please contact the shelter at 466-3489!

Viktor Needs Your Help!!!

Sweet, 9 month old, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped Viktor needs surgery for hip dysplasia. It is very costly, in the vicinity of $1800.00. How can we not have this surgery done as he is an excellent candidate for success? This is a big undertaking and we need your support to offset the costs. No amount is too small to help Viktor be free from pain.

To donate, go to our website and use the Canada Helps Button, drop by the shelter or call in your Visa Number. Say it's for Viktor!! Viktor needs everyone's help to make this happen

It's that time of year again when the SPCA is OVERFLOWING with HOMELESS CATS!

We are offering, for a limited time, a great deal on adopting two cats.

This is a great opportunity to add some feline friendship and love into your home.

Please remember...

Cat of the Week

This handsome boy is Thomas!

Thomas is a young adult male kitty who is very lucky! Thomas was brought to us from Bonavista where he had been hanging out since last summer. A kind lady was feeding him and taking care of him, but when she noticed an injury in his eye, she decided to bring him into us. He was sent to the vet upon arrival where it was determined he didn't have an eye injury, but an internal injury on his head. He was treated for it and given some pain medication. He also tested negative for FeLV and FIV and was neutered thanks to the kind lady that found him.

Don't let his sad face fool you, Thomas is one of the sweetest cats we have here! He is a big, solid boy who will roll around and flip over for a bit of attention. He starts purring immediately when you go near his kennel. He will make a new family very happy to call him their cat!

If you're interested in adopting a kitty and giving one a second chance, please consider adopting Thomas!

Dog of the Week

This gorgeous girl is Keisha!

Keisha is a 7 year old spayed Husky/Collie mix. Keisha was adopted from here back in the summer of 2013, but she is unfortunately looking for a new home due to allergies. She will be staying in her home until a new family decides to make her part of their family.

Keisha is a very quiet, loyal, obedient and intelligent girl. She loves going for walks, playing at the beach, cuddling, and getting treats. Keisha loves any kind of attention; only barks when she is playing; and does not need to be kenneled when left at home. Keisha takes a few minutes to warm up to females, and longer for males. The easiest way to win her over is to take her for a walk or give her a delicious treat! Keisha is used to living with cats and other dogs.

Keisha would make a great companion for anyone and deserves a home where she will be treated like a queen.

Small Critter of the Week

I’m Kingston, a 5 month old male bunny who is already looking for a second chance in life. My friend, Jaxon and I were living in the same home but our owner did not think to have us neutered so we started to fight. The rescue was kind enough to take us on and get us neutered and hopefully we will both find new homes soon!
