Sandy Needs Our Help!!!

When Sandy came to the shelter, the first thing that everyone noticed was her extremely foul smelling breath. She was in need of dental care for sure. Until she settled down we did not want to put her through the stress but now that she has found her retirement home it is time. Dental care is not only to help with the breath issue but also helps prevent bacteria from building up and causing other heath issues.
It is estimated that the procedure will cost around $500.00 and I am looking for some kindhearted people that can donate a few dollars to help Sandy. If you can donate a few dollars towards the cost it will be greatly appreciated.
Donations can be made by using the Canada Helps button on our website, by e-mail to , or you can call in a donation to the shelter 466-3489. Please say that your donation is for Sandy's dental work.

Sandy sends woofs and tailwags to let everyone know she is doing wonderful!!! She is Queen of the house

It's that time of year again when the SPCA is OVERFLOWING with HOMELESS CATS!

We are offering, for a limited time, a great deal on adopting two cats.

This is a great opportunity to add some feline friendship and love into your home.

Please remember...

Cat of the Week

Meet Oprah!!

Oprah is a beautiful young adult female cat that is the "mommy cat" to the five beautiful "O" kittens! Oprah was brought to us with her kittens when she was found roaming around Arnold's Cove. Oprah is a very petite little cat that is an absolute sweetheart! She loves to curl up on your lap and laze the day away. She is such a quiet cat that we hardly know she is in the shelter sometimes!!

If you are interested in adopting a beautiful cat, please consider adopting Oprah!

Dog of the Week

Meet Blue!

Blue is a twenty one month old neutered Siberian husky that came from a very loving family, but much to their dismay, they could no longer care for him anymore. His previous family tells us that he is an amazing dog that is great with kids, cats, and other dogs. They say that Blue loves to go for rides in the car, long walks, and that he loves to play fetch. Blue does not like to be left alone, therefore, it would be best if he goes to a family where people are home most of the time, or where he has another furry companion.

If you are interested in adopting a very handsome dog, please consider adopting Blue!

Small Critter of the Week

Iím Elliot, and Iím a skinny pig! Donít let my appearance fool you, Iím really cuddly! I love to be up and playing with my human friends, and I even like bunnies too :) Iím very social and like to investigate. I love carrots, blueberries, red pepper, green apple but mixed greens are my true favorite. If you think you can give me a home, please contact the rescue.
