Tyson

This handsome boy is Tyson.

Tyson was adopted about 2 months ago, and his family said that he was a great dog, but he was aggressive with the families cats. After 2 months of trying it adjust, it was decided that Tyson would be better off finding a home where he was not always tempted to chase the cats.

Tyson is a 16 mth old male mixed breed, we were told that there is some Boxer mixed in his genes. he loves to go for walks and is trained to walk with a Halti. We were told that he is great in the house too.

Tyson is a friendly loving boy who needs a home without cats.

Neko

UPDATE... Neko's family has decided that they can not part with him. Neko will stay with his family! YEAH

Neko is a handsome dog who was adopted here last year and his owners need to rehome him.

Neko is a 15 month old neutered male Husky mix, and a bigger dog. He is looking for a new home, one that has lots of time for exercise and play. He likes other dogs his same size and is good with kids. If you are inteterested in meeting Neko, please contact the shelter.

A note from Neko's previous family...

Neko is a very lovable dog, trained well, has all his vaccinations up to date and has been neutered since he was a puppy. He absolutely loves other dogs, more so ones that are his size so he has a companion. He has been boarded overnight many times at Topsail Star and Dogs Inn so he is well adjusted to staying overnight in boarding if needed.
However, he does not like to be left alone during the day seeing he has always went everywhere with us as a puppy and does not like being left in a kennel at all.
He is very high energy like most huskies but is settling down now over the past couple months. He loves his regular exercise at the dog park and is very intelligent in telling you what he wants when he wants it whether it be food, water, treats, going outside and using the bathroom. He really needs to be in a place with a fenced yard as he will roam if he gets the opportunity. He also loves kids.

Please note... After speaking to Neko's former owner, we feel that Neko needs to be adopted out to a home where there is someone home all the time. He does like dogs, and having another dog in the home may help with his need to be with people all the time.

Lucy

**Lucy is part of the New Leash on Life Program at the Womens Correctional Center. If you're interested in meeting Lucy, please contact the Clarenville SPCA.**

Lucy is still patiently waiting for her forever home!

Lucy is a spayed female Husky mix, who is getting close to 6 years old. She has been at our shelter for over a year now and we have no idea why she keeps getting overlooked! She is a beautiful dog, with an amazing personality that would be a wonderful addition to someone's home. Lucy does have a few adoption restrictions, but that does not mean she isn't a great dog!

Since Lucy was originally a roamer in Labrador, she seems to still have a bit of her hunter instinct, therefore, she would not be able to go into a home with cats, or small critters. She does not do well with female dogs, but she seems to like smaller male dogs. She is used to being able to roam freely, so she will also need a home with a fenced in backyard where she can run but be safe at the same time.

Lucy would be a great companion for anyone that enjoys being outdoors. She loves to go for walks, and sometimes even ventures into the water in the warmer months. She really enjoys human companionship, especially children. She even tries to talk to you from time to time!

Lucy has become a big part of all of our hearts here at the shelter, but we would love to see her go to an amazing home where she can be loved by her family for the rest of her life!
