All Adoptions Are Pending Approval By The Clarenville Area SPCA

People wishing to adopt animals from the SPCA must agree to certain requirements.

Animals must be treated humanely.

Animals must be spayed/neutered. In the case of adult animals, they are required to be spayed/neutered within two months from adopting them. Kittens and puppies have to be spayed/neutered when they are 6 months old.

All animals must be house pets and not kept outside for long periods of time.

Animals will not be euthanized or destroyed for any other reason except old age or serious illness.

Animals will not be allowed to roam freely on any property other than that of the owner.

It has been an unwritten policy at the Clarenville Area SPCA for many years that small puppies will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 5. Please click here to find out why.

In the event of violation of any of the above, I agree that the SPCA may repossess my dog/cat.

$40.00 for an intact/unspayed kitten or cat that has not been tested for FeLV
$80.00 for a spayed/neutered cat which has been tested for FeLV
