Doug

How can that face not make us smile?!

Doug just arrived at our shelter recently to look for that perfect home! He was given up due to his previous owner working away for long periods of time and they felt it was just not fair to Doug. This little dude is short and stout, a little hefty at the moment, but will benefit from a regular exercise routine and a healthy diet. Doug is a family-man, meaning he has lived with children previously and was great with them. He does however chase cats so we are looking for a cat-free home for this dude. He has not lived with other dogs so we cannot comment on what he is like in a home with dogs, but has been walked with them before and was on his best behavior.

Doug is a perfect housemate. He sleeps on his bed in the nighttime and normally has free roam of the house in the daytime when left alone without incident. He may almost be hitting double digits, but Doug still has a lot of love to give. He enjoys himself most when he is around people, inside or outside. Still energetic enough to head out on daily walks, but out of the puppy stages of chewing and housetraining. He is great company to have around and can't wait to find the right family to adopt him!

Please apply below if you are interested in adopting Doug or call the shelter for more information!
