Co-op Number - When you buy your groceries at the Clarenville Co-op, ask them to use our number (9000 – will come up as Peddle). Every dollar counts toward much-needed supplies.

Canadian Tire Money - We appreciate donations of Canadian Tire money, which can be used to purchase items for our shelter.

Recyclables - When you drop your recyclables off at KC Recycling, ask them to credit the SPCA account.

Used Items – The SPCA holds two flea markets each year, spring and fall. If you have items that you no longer want or use, please drop them off at the shelter or call us to arrange pickup (no clothing, please!).

Donations of Food and Supplies - When doing your shopping, pick up some food, treats, toys, or litter. We can also use any blankets that you may not need - our furry critters will appreciate the attention when you drop these items off at the shelter. The “human” critters will appreciate donations of paper towels, laundry detergent, toilet paper, Javex bleach, and dryer sheets.

The Gladys Groves Copeland Animal Shelter is funded solely through donations and the proceeds from fundraising events. As we are a registered charity, all donations are tax deductible. To make a donation, click here.

The Clarenville Area SPCA would like to introduce our new In Memoriam Contribution Cards. These cards recognize and remember passed loved ones who were well known for their love toward animals. They are also a way to remember a beloved family pet. Simply fill out the In Memoriam Card here, and send it to the Clarenville Area SPCA along with your donation. We will send a card acknowledging your thoughtful gift to the person's family, and you will receive a tax receipt.

Gift Donations make great gifts for those hard-to-shop-for animal lovers. Loved ones will be pleasantly surprised with this unique gift made in their name to the Clarenville Area SPCA. We’ll send a card to the recipient with a personalized message from you notifying them that you’ve made a donation on their behalf. Gift Donations make the ideal gift for all the animal lovers on your list. Make your gift donation here

We have found that some of the older animals that come to us have a better chance of being adopted if they are spayed or neutered. As we are not able to cover these costs for all the animals that might benefit from this surgery, we have set up a spay/neuter fund to assist as many animals as possible. As donations to this fund accumulate, we are able to spay or neuter selected animals. Remember, your contributions are tax deductible and also help to control the pet population! Click here to donate.

The "Lilly Fund" was created in memory a 14 year old dog who touched the hearts of everyone who met her. Lilly was too sick for medical intervention so it was decided to create the "Lilly Fund" to help keep Lilly's memory alive by "helping other animals live"! These funds are designated to help animals that require extra medical attention to lead a happy, healthy life. Your donations will allow the shelter to keep saving those animals that just need a little extra to help find their forever homes.

When we get overcrowded and are unable to care for all the animals that come to us, we depend on foster homes to provide a temporary home for a puppy or a dog. If your family can provide short-term care (usually 1 – 7 days), give us a call. All food and needed materials will be supplied. Of course, animals would need to be kept as house pets in a suitable family environment.

Memberships are tax deductible and include a subscription to Paw Prints, our semi-annual newsletter. Click here for membership form.

Volunteers are the heart and strength of any organization, and this is especially true for a non-profit group like the SPCA. We welcome all who have a love for animals and a few hours to spare. One of the biggest myths concerning the SPCA is that you have to work with animals or go to the shelter in order to be of assistance to us. Nothing could be further from the truth. To find out about other volunteer opportunities, please click here. For those who are interested in working with our animals at the shelter, please click here for the Shelter Volunteer Application form.
